Community Partners
The footprint of Stanford Children's Health extends throughout the Bay Area. Presently, PICU leadership is working in collaboration on a Joint Venture project between Stanford Children's Health and John Muir Health to develop and support a new 8-bed PICU in Walnut Creek, California. This unit, in its construction and planning phase, is opening in December 2014. The faculty hired for this unit, while members of the Critical Care Division, will primarily be focused at the outreach location in the East Bay. This presents an exciting opportunity for divisional growth at the regional level.
