Winter Closure: Individual Action
The Winter Closure Program targets a two-week shutdown of building heating and ventilation systems, as well as custodial services. Individual actions help to maximize this effort and increase energy savings across campus. In 2014, the combined efforts of everyone on campus saved 840 metric tons of CO2 emissions. That's equal to taking 176 cars off the road for the year. Thank you to all who participated in 2014!
What’s In It For You?
Everyone who completes takes the pledge will be entered into a raffle to win one of several $50 gift cards. Share with your social networks and you'll be entered as many times as you share and use the hashtag #StanfordWinterClosure.
Congrats to this year's raffle winners: Ryan Johnson, Alana Koehler, Reynis Heremi Vazquez-Guzman, Mark Shwartz, Megan McAndrews, Roger Chen, Janet Elder, Alice Gardner, and Sherry Wang! Because of everyone's combined efforts, Stanford saved 840 metric tons of CO2, equivalent to driving 2,000,000 miles!
