Jet Airways (B): A Bumpy Landing
Jet Airways (B): A Bumpy Landing
Jet Airways (B) is the follow-up case to Jet Airways (A). The case describes the employee cost reduction strategy undertaken by Jet Airways – the termination of trainee flight attendants – and the resulting media and political backlash that followed. The case then describes how Jet’s chairman reversed the decision and provides varying opinions on the motives behind that decision. It concludes by describing the subsequent attempts to achieve cost reductions.
