Regular Decision

Regular Decision is Stanford's traditional application option. We employ the same standards for admission in Regular Decision as we do in Restrictive Early Action. The majority of admitted students are evaluated and offered admission during Regular Decision. The application deadline for Regular Decision is January 1 at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific time).

Change of Application Plan

If you originally applied under Regular Decision and would like to be considered as a Restrictive Early Action applicant, you must follow these directions:

• Request a change in status by November 1 via email to credentials@stanford.edu. Applicants must confirm the request has been received to ensure the change has been made.
• Withdraw an early application you may have submitted to another college/university.
