  • If you are not able to install or uninstall software on your computer, please contact your school / department desktop support resource to assist you.
  • If you are able to install software on your computer, please follow the instructions below.

Java Installation

The Java installation will take less than 5 minutes if you have administrator rights on your computer. The updated version of Java will be available via the Employee Info tab in Axess.

  • If you are a Time & Leave Administrator, it is recommended that you turn off Java automatic updates:
    • Go to the Start menu > Settings > Control Panel
    • Double-click the Java icon
    • Click the Update tab
    • Uncheck the box labeled Check for Updates Automatically
    • Click Never Check
    • Click Apply
    • Click OK

Getting Help

  • If you do not have administrator rights on your computer, your local desktop support will need to assist you with the update. To facilitate this, the update will be available through the Bigfix Patch Management System used by many local desktop support groups.
  • If you have any questions concerning this process, please submit a HelpSU request and it will be addressed as quickly as possible.
