Uniting Leaders in Discussion and Collaboration
With an emphasis on law’s intersection with business, policy and conflict resolution, Stanford Law offers a set of innovative executive education programs that build on the academic excellence, cutting-edge research and multidisciplinary resources of SLS.
For more than two decades, these Executive Education Programs have brought together scholars, policymakers, jurists, corporate leaders, investment bankers, venture capitalists, negotiators, mediators and leaders in the legal community from across the country and internationally. Our approach combines keynote speakers and plenary debates with panel discussions and small-group work, enabling participants to learn by doing, not just listening. Attendees share their expertise and discuss solutions to the most challenging issues facing business executives, policymakers and legal practitioners today. SLS affiliates alumni ensure that programs are grounded in the real world.
Directors' College
The nation's premier executive education program for directors and senior executives of publicly traded firms, Director’s College addresses a broad range of problems that confront modern boards. Now in its twenty-first year, the program brings together leading CEOs, directors, jurists, scholars and regulators for a rigorous and balanced examination of corporate governance, strategy and compliance.
Directors' Consortium
Faculty from Stanford Law School, the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth share their expertise in a dynamic, cross-disciplinary program focused on how directors drive and sustain corporate success. Participants gain strategies, frameworks and best practices for making crucial board decisions in a changing environment.
Directors' College for Venture-Backed Company Directors
The leading education program for venture-backed company directors focuses on practical solutions to governance issues that commonly arise among private venture-backed companies, from early stage-formation until exit through acquisition or IPO.
A View of Law from High School
In partnership with Envision, SLS invites high school students — young people who could someday be candidates for admission to law school — to experience what it means to study law and become a lawyer. Stepping into the roles of prosecution and defense legal teams, participants in Envision Intensive Law & Trial courtroom simulations grapple with ethical issues, craft oral arguments and question witnesses. Stanford faculty and guest speakers and off-campus field trips enrich the weeklong experience.
