Bloomberg BNA reports on a recent study by Professor Mark Lemley regarding the effects of patent licensing on increased innovation.

Professor Mark Lemley of Stanford Law School and Professor Robin Feldman of the University of California's Hastings College of the Law produced a study that asked “Does Patent Licensing Mean Innovation?

The report, released Feb. 15, argues that patent licensing “seems to be an activity almost entirely divorced from innovation.”
