Debbe Stern is a communications strategist best known for helping identify and shape the distinctive qualities of the brands, companies and people she represents. She advises and leads initiatives to secure meaningful and impactful stories for her clients in top tier media outlets such as 60 Minutes, the New York Times, WIRED, and BusinessWeek and Fast Company.
Lured by the seduction of innovation and design, Debbe added IDEO to her client list more than a decade ago. She has pooled all of her experience across industries and disciplines to spread the word about how design and innovation can and should be part of every organization. She loves telling great stories about design. Her most visible story is probably ABC’s Nightline special on the redesign of the classic shopping cart in just five days which is shown across the globe in universities and organizations. Debbe has been with the d.school since its founding.
In addition to her long-standing client relationships with IDEO and the Stanford d.School, her public relations work ranges from a respected lineup of start-ups to global brands such as Visa, Oracle, Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Gap/Old Navy, and Kate Spade.
