It’s time to bust the myths around networking! Our work has shown us that being able to design your network is a key skill. We know design thinking teams have more success when they have a non-homogenous team – what better way to create this than with a diverse network.

The more we have worked with budding entrepreneurs and design thinkers, the more we have realized that networking is an essential skill which allows you to gain empathy, locate extreme users, brainstorm the most diverse solutions, recruit technical mentors, and maximize the possibility of receiving the best feedback possible on your prototypes, which we all know leads to the most success. In fact, your network is integral to being a successful design thinker!

Networking also enables you to remain current, provides opportunities to continuously learn, and helps create a social support system which research says is linked to good health and longevity.

Whether you’re looking for an internship, launching a new business idea, or researching a personal passion, generous networking helps spark, refine and scale new ideas, increasing the likelihood of making an impact.

Participants will come away from this two-session pop-up with a more comprehensive understanding of their own personal networks. They will brainstorm the network they would like to have and begin forming it. We will also address the social-emotional issues that some of us face when attempting to network. Don’t leave your network to chance; design it!
