Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) is a national, non-profit service organization that aims to address the challenges of global poverty and sustainability by harnessing the energy and creativity of young engineers. ESW approaches engineering-based challenges of developing communities through partnerships that foster cultural, educational, and technical exchange. The Stanford Chapter of ESW was founded in 2003, and has since then, hosted numerous events and projects including workshops, international internships, design projects, and conferences. ESW welcomes participants from all disciplines and skill-levels.
We strive to improve the quality of life in underserved communities, through building partnerships with those who share our vision, and by developing the necessary perspectives and skill sets.
