We can help you borrow books, articles, or other materials that Stanford does not have (so be sure to check SearchWorks or consult with a librarian first!). Check to make sure that you're eligible to use interlibrary services and that the materials are eligible to be borrowed.
Access to UC libraries
Stanford participates in reciprocal programs that allow faculty, graduate students, and academic staff to have direct on-site access and borrowing privileges at many UC libraries. (Note that this is different from RLCP.)
University of California / Stanford University Reciprocal Services Program (RSP)
RSP provides eligible Stanford patrons with the same on-site access and borrowing privileges as their counterparts at UC campus general libraries. (If you do not want on-site access, you can request UC library materials through Interlibrary Borrowing.) Here's how to use RSP:
- Apply for an RSP card at the Privileges Office in Green Library. A current Stanford ID card is required. (UC patrons should obtain RSP cards from their home institutions.)
- Search the shared holdings of the UC libraries in Melvyl, and/or visit the UC library (check its hours of operation first!):
