Office of External Relations

Overview

The Office of External Relations is comprised of the alumni relations and development functions at Stanford Law School.

Alumni Relations

The law school's vibrant and informed network of alumni enriches the School, and contributes to its mission in a variety of ways. The Office of External Relations works throughout the year to connect alumni with each other and the school through intellectual events, social events, reunions, and volunteer activities in admissions and career services. Stanford Law School fosters a small and collegial environment on campus, and the External Relations staff works to foster that sense of community beyond the physical boundaries of Stanford.

Development

An important objective of the Office of External Relations is to garner funding to build upon the school's excellence. Unique among law schools for its balanced emphasis on both teaching and research, as well as incorporating practical learning in new, innovative, and intellectually stimulating ways, Stanford Law School requires significant resources beyond the budget funding provided by the university. It is the responsibility of the Office of External Relations to secure and steward those resources.
