Honors in the Arts exhibition by senior Althea Solis
Wanderlust is a science fiction exploration of the possible near-future colonization of Mars. Set in 2042, Wanderlust follows the first crew of a private space exploration company’s first mission to our neighbor planet, a mission made necessary by the catastrophic consequences of our inadequate response to climate change. The installation presents the graphic novel in the context of research and obsession, and provides a space where viewers can encounter as well as sit down and read the comic book, rough draft novel, preparatory sketchbooks, and research materials that culminate in this honors project.
