Scholars with the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies conduct fieldwork in some of the world's most unstable places and collaborate with colleagues across the Stanford University campus to develop a deeper understanding of what it takes to make a government work well.

In this video, Paul Wise, the Richard E. Behrman Professor of Child Health and Society at the Stanford School of Medicine and a core faculty member at CHP/PCOR, talks about the impact of war and conflict on the health of children.
