Bio

Sara Singer is a senior research scholar at CHP/PCOR. She served as executive director of the Center for Health Policy until August 2003. She previously served as staff director of the California Managed Health Care Improvement Task Force, and as senior legislative analyst on health policy to moderate Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee during the committee's debate of the Health Security Act of 1994. She has provided strategic and technical expertise to national and international policymakers and to health industry leaders. In addition to lecturing on health policy and management, she conducts research on public- and private-sector regulation of health insurance and health care in the United States and around the world. She holds an AB from Princeton University and an MBA with a certificate in public management from Stanford University.
