About Stanford Tri Delta

The Omega Chapter of Delta Delta Delta was founded in March of 1985 at Stanford University and has since fostered sisterhood among its members. Our chapter stands out from all others in that our members excel, both in and out of the classroom. Stanford Tri Deltas are involved in numerous organizations around campus and within the Greek system, as well as working tirelessly towards our philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. When our members aren't running to dance practice or running experiments in lab, they can be found around the world, pursuing their various passions.

One life. One love. One letter.

"The name of Tri Delta will be on the walls of St. Jude...and in our hearts...forever."
-Terre Thomas, daughter of St. Jude founder

Philanthropy

Tri Delta raises the most money of any national Greek Organization for its cause. Since October 1999, Tri Delta has been proud to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. St. Jude’s mission is to find cures for children with catastrophic diseases, and it ensures that no child is denied treatment because of race, religion, or ability to pay. Tri Delta's recently reached its goal to raise $15 million in 5 years. However, we exceeded expectations, as always, and raised the money in only 3.5 years!

The Stanford Omega chapter is excited to be a part of this effort. To pursue this goal, we raise awareness and host events each quarter, like our Charity Brunch this winter! Last year we raised $26,658 - more than any Tri Delta Chapter in California! We also won the Stanford Greek Philanthropy Award for raising the most money and awareness amongst all of the Stanford Greek organizations. Though these are only indicators of our commitment to the children of St. Jude, we are really excited that this has been recognized within the community, and are looking forward to continuing our legacy of philanthropy success!

There are a lot more ways our sisters get involved. We participate strongly in the Greek competition at Dance Marathon, Sigma Chi's Derby Days, and teamed up with Stanford Athletics to fundraise while cheering for Stanford! It is very important to support other forms of philanthropy on campus in addition to our own.

Philanthropy is a big part of Stanford Tri Delta - so we encourage you to scroll through our links, contact us with questions, and check out our various social media sites to see us in action!

Delta House of Pancakes

Every fall quarter, Stanford Tri Delta hosts the Delta House of Pancakes, also known as DHOP, on the Row. The Deltas serve pancakes late into the night to those on campus who are out and about as a way to raise money and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year, DHOP was hosted on the Sigma Chi front lawn and was a huge success!

Stanford Tri Delta hosts our charity brunch, Stacks for St. Jude, during winter quarter. The entire campus, along with the surrounding community, is invited to join the Deltas in our lovely home for a warm and delicious brunch of pancake, eggs, bagels, coffee, and much more! The proceeds from the event go towards funding for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! This year, our girls raised over $3,000 for St. Jude during this event, with sponsorships from Starbucks, Immersion, SoulCycle, Pinkberry, and many more!

Deltas at Dance Marathon

While the sisters of Stanford Tridelta passionately devote themselves to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital throughout the year, they also find ways to get involved with other philanthropic pursuits on and off campus. Every year, many Deltas organize, host and attend Stanford Dance Marathon, which inspires and educates the community to combat HIV/AIDS and supports international health in general.

Let us steadfastly love one another.

Recruitment

Hey Girls!

We’re Kiki and Isabel, your Vice President of Membership and Reference Chair for Tri Delta, and we’re so excited about rush! Recruitment is such an important and exciting time for us and we, along with the rest of the chapter, have been working hard to make sure that rush will a fun and memorable experience for all potential new members. Between the videos, skit and awesome crafts that we have planned, it’s hard to say what the best part of rush will be. Every girl in Tri Delta can’t wait to officially meet and get to know all of you better!

Don’t forget to register for formal recruitment on the ISC website, and check out the prospectus while you’re there to get even more information about Tri Delta.

Even if you decide that greek life is not for you, rush gives you the chance to meet so many amazing women, so we urge you to at least give it a try! Take some time to look through our website and get a feel for who we are, and why we are so proud to be part of this amazing organization.

We’re counting down the days until Spring! Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. We can’t wait to meet you!

Delta Love,

Kiki Hui & Isabel Prado

VP, Membership & Reference Chair

Video from Recruitment 2013

This video was filmed and edited by our amazing sister, Agatha, during Recruitment 2013! Rewatching this makes us so excited for Recruitment this year! We hope to see you there!

A perpetual bond of friendship

Social

Stanford Tri Deltas work hard in the classroom and within various extracurricular activities, but they like to play hard too! Between football tailgates, mixers and progressives with all the fraternities, formals, date events, and the quarterly Special Dinners, the Tri Delta social calendar is always full.

The Stanford Deltas don't just socialize on campus and in the bay area. Whatever the season, the Tri Deltas love to go on trips together! From spring breaks in Cabo and St. Lucia, to Tahoe ski trips, to rafting on the river during spring quarter, Stanford Tri Delta is always out and about!

It's safe to say that the Stanford Tri Deltas are never lacking in social options!

Our House

The Omega Chapter of Delta Delta Delta is housed at 702 Bowdoin Ln, right at the intersection of Campus Drive and Bowdoin Lane. The Tri Delta house acts as the main gathering point for the chapter, hosting St. Jude fundraising events, chapter meetings, Deltas Only study breaks and much more!

The house consists of mostly two-room doubles and multiple singles. This layout allows the beautiful Delta residents the privacy of their own room, while still allowing them all the benefits that a roommate (especially when it's a fellow Tri Delta) has to offer!

Three times better, with just one letter.
