Photographer; Filmmaker, Chasing Water

Pete McBride is an award-winning photographer, writer, and filmmaker. He has traveled to over 70 countries on assignment for the publications of the National Geographic Society, Smithsonian, Outside, Esquire, STERN, GEO, and others. After being awarded a one-year Knight Fellowship for Professional Journalists at Stanford University, McBride spent over five years documenting the Colorado River, culminating in the coffee-table book, The Colorado River: Flowing Through Conflict, and an award-winning short film, Chasing Water. Named a Freshwater Hero by National Geographic, his most recent project led him source to sea down Indian’s sacred Ganges River in an effort to document the environmental paradox of one of the world’s holiest waterways.
