STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford men’s rowing seniors Scott Roycroft and Kaess Smit were named to the All-Pac-12 team on Thursday.

Smit becomes just the second Cardinal rower to earn three All-Pac-12 selections, joining Austin Hack ’14. It was the third consecutive season that Smit has had his name announced for the all-conference team.

He was the only student-athlete on this year’s all-conference team to receive the honor for the third time. He also continues the streak of every Stanford rower to earn Pac-12 Scholar Athlete of the Year also making the All-Pac-12 team.

After this season Smit will continue his rowing career, attending the U.S. Under-23 National Team selection camp to try and earn a spot on the team for the U-23 World Championships for the third straight year.

Roycroft is named to the all-conference team for the first time. The earth systems major may be wrapping up his rowing career but will be back at Stanford working on his master’s degree next year.

Both Roycroft and Smit are members of the varsity eight and will compete at the IRA National Championships starting tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. ET.
