Dean of the Graduate School of Education

Stanford University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Graduate School of Education beginning with the 2015-16 academic year. The Dean is responsible for the direction of teaching, research, public service, and outreach functions of the School.  We seek individuals with outstanding scholarly and professional careers who have demonstrated potential for academic and administrative leadership.

The Graduate School of Education is organized into three area committees: Social Sciences, Humanities and Interdisciplinary Policy Studies in Education; Developmental and Psychological Sciences; Curriculum Studies and Teacher Education; plus a Cross-Area Specialization: Learning Sciences and Technology Design.  Of the 409 students enrolled, approximately 184 are pursuing doctoral degrees. The 56 members of the School’s full-time faculty have a strong tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and public service.
