Messages from the Chief Nursing Officer
There is no better place to be a nurse than Stanford Hospital &
Clinics and no better time in our distinguished history than now to be
part of our team. We are innovating in nursing practice and impacting
the lives of our patients everywhere that nursing care is delivered.
Stanford's national and global leadership in the new era of health
and health care provides unprecedented professional opportunities for
nurses. Whether at the bedside or in outpatient settings throughout
the growing Stanford network of care, nurses have a critical role to
play in achieving our transformational vision.
As a nurse for over 34 years, I am tremendously proud of the
extensive contributions my colleagues here are making to patient care.
We share a deep personal commitment to advancing the role of nurses
throughout our organization, as individuals and as a Magnet-designated
institution striving continuously for the highest standards of our profession.
Nurses heal with science and compassion for each patient, every
time. No other group is part of a patient's journey at each step of
the way. The opportunity we have to make a difference inspires me
every day. I hope that you too will find fulfillment in being part of
our outstanding Stanford nursing team.
