Whether you're getting ready to graduate or at the beginning of your graduate program, building your digital presence and story in the form of an online portfolio provides a platform to showcase not only your academic skills and experiences, but also yourself.  An ePortfolio can also help you highlight what's unique about your your own story and your education and experience while providing a valuable opportunity to reflect on everything you’ve done, practice articulating who you are for the job search or other opportunities, and identify areas you want to strengthen.

This workshop will 'make the case' for how telling your story through creating a digital presence via an ePortfolio can support your learning trajectory here at Stanford by sharing sample grad student portfolios and providing some practical suggestions and references to campus resources for building or enhancing your own ePortfolio. Students who attend this event will be invited to participate in a guided program in winter 2015 which will support them in creating their own ePortfolio.

  • Helen L. Chen, PhD, director of ePortfolio initiatives, Center for Design Research, Office of the Registrar
  • Sheetal J. Patel, PhD, director of branding and digital communities, Career Development Center, Student Affairs
