Megan Gorman

Megan Gorman became CISAC's associate director for administration and finance in May 2013. Megan has a deep background in international relations and wide experience at Stanford, along with a long-standing, personal interest in CISAC.

Prior to joining CISAC, Megan was a financial management analyst in the School of Humanities and Sciences (H&S), where she was the budgetary liaison for the dean to 16 departments and programs. Before coming to H&S, Megan was the associate director for Stanford's Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS), where she managed all the finances, faculty affairs, human resources, student services, facilities and other activities of the Center. While at CLAS, Megan was awarded the H&S Dean's Award of Merit for exceptional dedication to CLAS. Also while at CLAS, she served for one year as the acting co-executive director of Stanford's Division of International, Comparative and Area Studies, overseeing its 14 academic centers and programs.

Beyond Stanford, Megan has been a globe-trotter. She's served as a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador, taught English in China, and worked in several capacities in Alaska through the Volunteers in Service to America program. Megan holds an undergraduate degree in biology and a master's degree in international relations. She has a particular interest and extensive training in conflict mediation and currently volunteers in the City of Palo Alto’s Mediation Program.
