The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) has reaffirmed Stanford University's accreditation across all seven schools, commending Stanford for promoting student success and for completing over the last six years "a very thorough and thoughtful examination of virtually all aspects of the undergraduate experience." Stanford earned the maximum period of time - 10 years - until its next review by WASC's Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities.
The WASC accreditation team conducted its visit to Stanford on February 20-21, 2013. The team was extremely impressed by Stanford's "remarkable pace of innovation in undergraduate education" and concluded, based on the Capacity and Preparatory Review (CPR) and Educational Effectiveness Review (EER) reports and the visits, that, "Stanford is committed to a spectacular education for all its students, is a model for the country, and is by any measure an institution of exceptional quality and one of the finest universities in the world."
