Writer and alumnus Po Bronson to speak July 17

Writer Po Bronson, '86, will discuss his most recent book, Why Do I Love These People?, at 8 p.m. Monday, July 17, in Annenberg Auditorium. Presented by Stanford Publishing Courses, the event is free and open to the public.

The book reports on people who managed to overcome family challenges such as infidelity, poverty, mental illness and drug use. Bronson culled the book's 19 stories from hundreds of interviews he conducted over a period of several years.

Bronson also is the author of the bestseller What Should I Do with My Life? He contributes regularly to Time magazine. He has contributed to the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and National Public Radio's Morning Edition. He is the author of two novels: Bombardiers and The First $20 Million Is Always the Hardest.
