The 1050 Arastradero shuttle runs Monday through Friday (except university holidays) serving the Medical School Office Building, Porter Drive, Hillview Avenue, Arastradero Road, returning to the Medical School Office Building (serving additional stops along the route) every 20 to 25 minutes from 7 a.m. to 6:55 p.m.
The Line AE-F shuttle supplements AC Transit's Line U transbay service using a Marguerite shuttle bus. It runs Monday through Friday (except university holidays).
In the morning, the shuttle departs to Stanford from Fremont BART station at 5:35 a.m., 5:45 a.m., 6:06 a.m., 6:18 a.m., 6:50 a.m., and 7:25 a.m. In the afternoon, the shuttle originates from Stock Farm Garage, departing to Fremont at 3:25 p.m., 3:55 p.m., 4:25 p.m., and 4:55 p.m. En route to and from Stanford, Line AE-F serves Fremont BART station, Fremont Wells Fargo lot (3440 Walnut Avenue), ACE/Amtrak Fremont station (37260 Fremont Boulevard), Kaiser Park & Ride lot, Ardenwood Park & Ride lot, Embarcadero Rd. @ Wildwood Ave., and Embarcadero Rd. @ N. California Ave. • Kaiser Park & Ride lot map and photos • Fremont Wells Fargo parking lot map and photos On campus, it serves stops at Stock Farm Garage (p.m. departures only), the Oval, Roth Way Garage, the Psychiatry parking lot, and the Psychiatry building.
The Bohannon shuttle travels between 4100/4700 Bohannon Drive and the Stanford Medical Center (Quarry Extension) with several stops in between, including the Stanford Barn, the Psychiatry building, Menlo Park Caltrain, Staples and Safeway on El Camino Real. It operates Monday through Friday (including Presidents’ Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and winter campus closure) between 6:48 a.m. and 7:20 p.m.
Line C travels between Vi at Palo Alto on Sand Hill Road and Escondido Village with stops including Lucas Center, Parking Structure 5 (PS5), and Serra Mall (serving additional stops along the route).
It operates Monday through Friday (except university holidays) every 30 minutes from 5:35 a.m. to 9:22 p.m. Line C Limited provides supplemental service during morning (7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m) and afternoon (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) peak commutes between LKSC and Escondido Village via Serra Mall/Serra Street.
The East Bay Express travels between Stanford (the Oval, Quarry Extension and stops on Quarry Rd.) and the East Bay (Ardenwood Park and Ride, Union City and Fremont BART stations).
It operates Monday through Friday (including university holidays), with only one bus run per morning (4:50 a.m. departure from Fremont BART station) and evening (11:42 p.m. departure from the Oval).
The Hoover: Direct shuttle provides all-day service between Hoover Pavilion and the Medical Center.
It departs from the stop at Sweet Olive Way in parking lot L-1 next to Parking Structure 9, serving Falk Center, the Medical Center stops on Quarry Extension, and the Psychiatry parking lot on Quarry Rd. before its return to L-1. It runs Monday through Friday (including university holidays), every 5 minutes from 4:20 a.m. to 12:40 a.m.
The Medical Center shuttle travels between the Palo Alto Transit Center and Lucas Center @ Welch Road in the a.m. from 5:05 a.m. to 10:13 a.m. and p.m. from 3:37 p.m. to 9:04 p.m.; the peak hour service is designed to meet a majority of the north and southbound trains. Mid-day service between Palo Alto Transit Center and the Stanford Hospital fountain is designed to meet each train from between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
It operates year-round, Monday through Friday (including university holidays). The Line N shuttle
travels in a counter-clockwise direction around campus.
The Line O shuttle
travels in a clockwise direction around campus.
The Oak Creek Apartments shuttle travels between Tresidder Union and the Oak Creek Apartments Club House with stops through the West Residences and on Sand Hill @ Stock Farm Rd. It operates nightly (excluding university holidays) between 9:00 p.m. and 2:10 a.m.
Line P destinations include the Palo Alto Transit Center, the Stanford Oval, Cantor Arts Center, Medical Center, and Quarry Road at Vineyard Road (serving additional stops along the route).
It runs Monday through Friday (excluding university holidays), from 9:50 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., every 20 minutes.
Line R provides midday service between California Avenue and the Stanford Research Park. The route will serve all stops between California Avenue at Yale Street and 3375 Hillview Avenue. The route will operate Monday through Friday (including Presidents’ Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and winter campus closure) between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. with service every 25 minutes.
The Research Park shuttle takes riders from the Palo Alto Transit Center to the Research Park during the AM commute times (6:28 a.m. to 10:12 a.m.) and brings riders back to the Palo Alto Transit Center during the PM commute times (3:30 p.m. to 7:33 p.m.) Consequently, this route does not provide AM service to the Palo Alto Transit Center, or PM service to the Research Park.
The shuttle serves Page Mill Road, Porter Drive, Hillview Avenue, Arastradero Road, and Deer Creek Road. The route runs Monday through Friday (including Presidents’ Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and winter campus closure) with departures every 20-40 minutes.
Line S operates weekday mornings 6:20 a.m. to 8:59 a.m. and weekday evenings 4:39 p.m. to 6:47 p.m., year round (except university holidays). Stops include the Palo Alto Transit Center, Stanford West Apartments, Oak Creek Apartments on Sand Hill Road and Rosewood Hotel.
The Shopping Express operates during the academic year (mid-September to mid-June), weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 10:25 p.m., and weekends from 9:35 a.m. to 11:08 p.m. The area of service includes the residential areas of the University, the Medical Center, and the business districts in Mountain View bordered by El Camino Real, San Antonio Rd. and Showers Avenue. Buses run every 50 to 60 minutes.
The Shopping Express: Special operates on weekends from 9:45 a.m. to 11:08 p.m. during the summer (mid-June to mid-Sept.) and winter campus closure. Additional service is offered on these university holidays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Friday after Thanksgiving.
The area of service includes the residential areas of the University, the Medical Center, and the business districts in Mountain View bordered by El Camino Real, San Antonio Rd. and Showers Avenue. Buses run every 2 hours.
The SLAC shuttle operates Monday through Friday year round (except campus holidays) between SLAC and Hoover Tower by way of the Oak Creek Apartments located on Sand Hill Road, West Campus Residences, and the Science & Engineering Quad, from 7:35 a.m. to 9:15 p.m., every 20 minutes until the evening when service is every 30 to 40 minutes.
The TECH shuttle travels between the Palo Alto Transit Center and the Palo Alto Technology Center at 1810 and 1850 Embarcadero Rd, Palo Alto. Outbound stops include: Palo Alto High School, Embarcadero at North California Avenue, and 1730 Embarcadero Road Inbound stops include: Embarcadero Road at Geng Road, Embarcadero Road at Wildwood, and El Camino Real at Town & Country Village Service: Monday through Friday (including Presidents’ Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and winter campus closure) between 6:08 a.m. and 10:14 a.m. in the morning and between 2:40 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the evening.
The VA delivers convenient transportation for patients and others traveling directly between Stanford Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital in Palo Alto.
It runs Monday through Friday (excluding university holidays) every 25 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. VA serves three stops: 801 Welch Rd., Quarry Extension @ the Emergency Room, and the VA hospital. Note: After-hours patient services will be provided between 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Patients can access this service by calling 650-498-3333.
The Line W shuttle provides service during commute hours to and from Hoover Pavilion, serving stops on Welch Road.
It runs Monday through Friday (including university holidays), every 15 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 9:06 a.m. and 3:35 p.m. to 6:42 p.m.
Line X runs to and from the Palo Alto Transit Center by way of Stanford Shopping Center, the Medical Center via Quarry Extension, Tresidder, Vaden Health Center, Schwab and Knight Centers, Alumni Center, Town & Country Village, and Palo Alto Medical Foundation (with additional stops along the route).
It operates Monday through Friday (except university holidays), 6:08 a.m. to 8:59 p.m., every 20 minutes. Between 7:20 a.m. and 9:48 a.m., the Line X Limited a.m. shuttle provides supplemental service during the morning peak commute from Palo Alto Transit Center to Cogen via the Medical Center. Between 3:48 p.m. and 5:47 p.m., the Line X Limited p.m. shuttle provides supplemental service during the afternoon peak commute from Serra Street (at Campus Drive) to the Palo Alto Transit Center.
Line Y runs to and from the Palo Alto Transit Center by way of Galvez @ El Camino, Alumni Center, Schwab and Knight Centers, Tresidder, Green Earth Sciences, Y2E2, Stanford Medical Center via Quarry Extension, and Stanford Shopping Center (serving additional stops along the route).
It operates Monday through Friday (except university holidays), 6:08 a.m. to 8:59 p.m., every 20 minutes. Between 7:20 a.m. and 9:56 a.m., the Line Y Limited a.m. shuttle provides supplemental service during the morning peak commute from Palo Alto Transit Center to Tresidder. Between 3:55 p.m. and 6:40 p.m., the Line Y Limited p.m. shuttle provides supplemental service during the afternoon peak commute from LKSC to the Palo Alto Transit Center via the Medical Center. |
