Biography

Paige Miller works to raise the profile of Stanford's environmental research, events and initiatives with external audiences via the news media, social media networks and other communications channels. Prior to joining the Stanford Woods Institute Paige worked as an environmental communicator in the non-profit and government sectors, most recently with the San Francisco Department of the Environment. In her role with the department’s communications team Paige worked on public relations campaigns and managed the department's social media strategy and implementation.  Prior to that she served as a communications fellow with Smart Growth America in Washington, D.C., where she managed the organization's social media networks, advanced its media relations program and produced blogs, weekly e-newsletters and social media content. Paige got her start in the environmental communications field with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute in Washington, D.C., where she conducted outreach to congressional offices and researched sustainable energy topics for social media, publications and web content. A board member of the Women's Environmental Network and former Green Schools AmeriCorps associate, Paige received her bachelor's degree in environmental studies from UC Santa Cruz.
