As a Stanford Student, you are automatically part of The Red Zone, the official student fan group of Stanford Athletics and the most raucous section inside of all Stanford Athletics’ facilities. Free and open exclusively to Stanford students, The Red Zone is a dedicated assembly of passionate students committed to creating a supportive and intimidating atmosphere at all Stanford Athletics events.

What are the benefits of Red Zone? It’s simple. Cheer on our amazing teams, earn points for attending specific games, and get prizes based on the points you’ve earned. The best part? Every student gets a free Red Zone shirt while supplies last! Wear your shirt at games, earn points, win prizes, and cheer on champions.

Please note: While tickets are free, students must claim tickets in advance to all home football and men's basketball games. Students may begin claiming tickets to football games Tuesday at 9 PM the week prior to an event. Admission to any non-football or non-basketball event requires students to show their SUID at the ticket office for admission and loyalty points. You MUST have your SUID to be admitted to any ticketed Stanford Athletics event.

First priority access will be given to top point holders earlier in the week, and access will be given to lower point holders until all tickets are distributed.

Other prizes and unique opportunities will be offered to top point holders throughout Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Further details will be shared later.

Claiming Tickets

Student tickets for all Stanford Football and Basketball regular season home games are distributed electronically on a first-come, first-served basis. Claimed tickets are loaded on to your SUID, which will be scanned for admittance to Stanford Stadium at Gate 3 and Maples Pavilion at the northeast entrance. Admission to any football or men’s basketball game is guaranteed only by claiming your ticket in advance.

Student football tickets will become available to claim on Tuesday of game week starting at 9:00 p.m. Ticket claiming closes 3 hours prior to kickoff, or until the entire allotment is claimed.

Student men’s basketball tickets will become available to claim: TBA

Incoming freshmen who have not yet received their SUID card should claim their tickets using their SUID number. To enter the game, bring and show an alternative form of ID (e.g., driver's license, passport) at the Red Zone gate.

First year grad students need to obtain their SUID card from the ID card office, claim a ticket, and then bring their SUID card to the game. First year grad students will not be able to claim a ticket until they have their SUID card.
