STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford will host its annual baseball alumni game on Oct. 25 at Sunken Diamond, concluding the University’s Reunion Homecoming Weekend. The Cardinal football team hosts Washington Oct. 24.
The baseball event will begin with an old-timers game at noon (PT), with alumni facing the current team at 1 p.m.
Every year a host of current and former professional players attend. Last year’s outing was highlighted by a visit from Kansas City Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, who was in town for the World Series against the San Francisco Giants.
Former Stanford two-sport standout Mark Marquess will enter his 40th season as the Cardinal head coach in 2016.
