September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month
The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.

Eva Ybarra, the “Queen of the Accordion,” and Her Band
Eva Ybarra is one of only a few professional women accordionists in conjunto music. She has specialized in writing and composing original conjunto music while also exploring non-standard chord progressions, advancing the art form's evolution.

2017 Américas Award Ceremony
The Américas Award, which the LC presents in collaboration with the Consortium of Latin American Studies Programs (CLASP) is given in recognition of U.S. works of fiction, poetry, folklore, or selected non-fiction published in the previous year in English or Spanish that authentically portray Latin America, the Caribbean, or Latinos on the United States.
