Traffic/Trail Impacts

Traffic Impact graphicFrom time to time our construction and maintenance projects require temporary road or lane closures, trail closures or similar impacts to vehicular or pedestrian traffic. Current and planned impacts will be noticed here.

CURRENT TRAIL CLOSURES

Wildcat Creek Bank Repair Project
The Santa Clara Valley Water District and City of Saratoga will repair approximately 80 feet of bank erosion in Wildcat Creek. The adjacent public trail may be temporarily closed if needed for construction activities. View the neighborhood notice.

  • Wildcat Creek Trail between Portos Drive and Harleigh Drive
July 2015, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend work is not anticipated.

Fuel Abatement and Fire Suppression Work
The Santa Clara Valley Water District is conducting annual fuel abatement and fire suppression work along stream channels, levees and other areas it oversees. The work includes mowing existing vegetation to ensure compliance with the Santa Clara County Fire Marshal.

As some of the work requires access to public trails, trails will be closed for short periods of time for public safety. The water district coordinates with the appropriate municipalities through joint use agreements to ensure those jurisdictions know of the planned work.

Dates and times shown below are subject to change.

  • No work currently scheduled
