Presidio Rising
Thursday, September 17, 2015
Founded in 1776, the historic Presidio predates even the founding of San Francisco. Witness to remarkable history, and location of equally remarkable architecture, a sea change occurred in the mid 1990’s with the decommissioning of the army base and formation of the Presidio Trust. The Presidio continues a unique transformation and has been reborn as one of San Francisco’s cultural, artistic, historic and architectural jewels. Trip participants will explore some recent additions and revisit an old favorite.
