Bernadine Chuck Fong is serving as Director of Leadership Initiatives and Special Projects. Her responsibilities span several arenas within VPGE, including creating innovative learning opportunities for leadership development and preparation for faculty careers, while also advising the Vice Provost on strategic directions. She joined the VPGE staff in Autumn, 2014. Previously she was Senior Managing Partner for the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and is President Emerita of Foothill College where she was also professor of psychology and child development. She is a former University Trustee. Her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. are from Stanford University.
