  • Greetings Members You have received this email because either you ...are a member of a Hispanic, Latina/o/x or Chicana/o/x student group, professional association, or because you have contact with such groups. My name is Carlos P. Hipolito-Delgado. I am an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver in the Counselor program. I would like to invite you to participate in a research study of ethnic identity in Hispanic, Latina/o, and Chicana/o college students. This study seeks to understand the factors that influence the development of ethnic identity in Hispanic, Latina/o/x, and Chicana/o/x students. As part of this study you will be asked a series of questions related to your opinion of ethnic stereotypes, the perceived importance of your ethnic identity, the perceived importance of your U.S. American identity, your ability to speak and comprehend both English and your native language, and your experience with ethnic discrimination. In total there are 98 questions associated with this study and it should take between 10 and 20 minutes to complete. To participate in this study, you must be enrolled as a undergraduate at a college or university in the United States. Self-identify as Chicana/o, Latina/o, or Hispanic and be between the ages of 18 and 80. To thank you for your participation in this study, at the end of the survey you will be given the option of entering a drawing—5 people will be awarded a $25 gift card to Best Buy. Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary and you can decide to stop at any time. However, only those who complete the survey will be eligible for the drawing. Further, your responses will remain confidential. You will only be asked for your email address for the purposes of entering the drawing. If you are interested in participating in this study please follow the link provided below or cut and paste the link into your web browser. http://qeasttrial.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/… If you are not a Hispanic, Latina/o/x, or Chicana/o/x college student I would ask that you please forward this message to any Hispanic, Latina/o, and Chicana/o undergraduate students, student groups, or email list serves you may have contact with. If you have any questions about this study, please do not hesitate to contact me at Carlos P. Hipolito-Delgado at carlos.hipolito@ucdenver.edu Sincerely, Carlos P.
