Jeremiah Barber, MFA Art Practice, 2010
Jeremiah lives and maintains a studio in San Francisco. This last year he has made new performance works, including "Other Half Orbit" at Southern Exposure, and "If Only my Own Person" at SOMArts Cultural Center. In 2015 he will be awarded a Eureka fellowship from the Fleishhacker Foundation. Barber is currently collaborating with his partner, Ingrid Rojas Contreras, on the exhibition "Lo Real Maravilloso/The Marvelous Real" to debut at the Mission Cultural Center in February 2015. This exhibition will be curated by another Stanford MFA graduate, Sanaz Mazinani.

Michael Bartalos, MFA Art Practice, 2014
Michael recently participated in Mexico City's SOMA Summer 2014 program through a fellowship from Stanford's Department of Art & Art History. He is currently a Graduate Fellow at the Headlands Center for the Arts through June 2015 where he works with light, fabric, and video. This autumn he is taking part in Pulp Atlas, a series of artists' book exhibitions in cities across the US, Candada, and the UK.

Yve Chavez, BA Art History, 2010
In 2012, Yve completed her MA in Art History from the University of Washington. This fall she passed her qualifying exams in the Art History program at UCLA, where she is now a PhD candidate. Yve is currently a research assistant through the Getty Research Institute Scholars Program, and she's writing a dissertation that examines Native American art in the California missions.

Cynthia Daignault, BA Art Practice, 2001
Cynthia Daignault is currently living and working in New York. Her work has been featured in numerous gallery and museum shows, most recently in 2014 with a solo presentation at the Fort Worth Modern. She has published two limited edition artist books, “CCTV” (2012) and “I love you more than one more day” (2013). Daignault has done a number of curatorial projects including the 2014 show "Ruffneck Constructivism" at the ICA with Kara Walker, and 2013 exhibition "Eric's Trip," at Lisa Cooley, which featured other Stanford alumni, Victoria Fu and Kamau Amu Patton. She has an upcoming group exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in the fall of 2014.

Amy Eshelman, BA Art Practice, 2008
After graduating, Amy moved back to Seattle and worked as Lead Printer for the Fine Art/Fashion photographer Jock Sturges, after which she went back to school for Apparel Design. Amy is now working as a Fashion Designer at Nordstrom in their Lingerie and Soft Accessories Departments.

Jamil Hellu, MFA Art Practice, 2010
Jamil was selected for the Artist in Residence Program at Recology San Francisco in 2014, and received the Graduate Fellowship Award at Headlands Center for the Arts for 2010-2011. Elizabeth Ivanovich, BA Art History, 1997
Elizabeth Ivanovich has been the arts and entertainment columnist for the Santa Cruz, California magazine STUDENT GUIDE for thirteen years. Her freelance writing has appeared in such publications as THE CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR, THE SANTA CRUZ SENTINEL, and STUDENT TRAVELER. Her first book, GOING COASTAL: SANTA CRUZ COUNTY AND BEYOND, was published in October 2014. It is available at Booklocker.com, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other retailers.

Jesse Krompier, BA Film and Media Studies, 2010
Jesse is living in Los Angeles, and working in film production. He has won cash prizes for submissions in multiple commercial contests, and teamed up with fellow Stanford alum Solly Mirell '10 to produce and direct the short horror film "Teddy Bear," which was selected and screened at the 2013 SIE LA Film Festival (Kyle Dean '09 was the Casting Director, and Alex Gamble '09 was the Assistant Director). In fall 2014, he will be entering his first year at UCLA School of Law with a Dean's Merit Scholarship, pursuing a J.D. in the Entertainment, Media, and Intellectual Property Law program.

Justine Lai, BA Art Practice, 2008
Justine received her MFA in Painting from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2013. She has published a catalogue essay on Destroit and artist Tyree Guyton as part of CUE art Foundation's 2013-14 Young Art Critics Mentoring Program. She is based in Bloomfield Hills, MI and Brooklyn, NY.

Natalie Henderson Lee, BA Art History, 1959
Natalie received an MA in History of Art from Southern Methodist University in 1982. She has contributed to a number of art exhibition and collections catalogues, including several for the Dallas Museum of Art and two for The Robert Lehman Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. With Richard R. Brettell and Paul Hayes Tucker, she wrote Nineteenth- and Twentiet- Century Paintings in the Robert Lehman Collection (2009). Natalie was the curator of an exhibition celebrating the 90th birthday of the Dallas Museum of Art in 1993 and was an editor of the publication celebrating its 100th birthday in 2003.

Claire Rehnquist Lynch, BA Art Practice, 2014
After completing the Recology residency in the spring, Lynch is pursuing more residency opportunities in the bay area for the fall. In the meantime, she is working as the Lead Instructor of Go Karts at Camp Galileo Summer Quest.

Lia Mary McAndrews, BA Art History, 1973
After getting a Master's in Landscape Architecture , Lia worked as a licensed Landscape Architect, co-founding Madrone Landscape Group, doing projects in Monterey and San Francisco Bay Areas until 2010. In 1980, She began teaching landscape courses in the Horticulture Department at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz county and continue to teach. Lia currently teach 6 different landscape related courses and other aspects of horticulture; her classes have changed over the years as the department responds to students desires and the emerging trends in the green industry. She believes she has learned far more from students than she has taught.

Steven McCarthy, MFA Design, 1985
Steven is a professor of graphic design at the University of Minnesota. His recent book, "The Designer As... Author, Producer, Activist, Entrepreneur, Curator and Collaborator: New Models for Communicating" (BIS Publishers, Amsterdam) continues to sell well worldwide, and has led to a number of invited lecture opportunities. Steven was recently named to the board of the Minnesota Center for Book Arts, the largest and most comprehensive organization of its kind nationally. A solo exhibit of Steven's artist's books will be held next year at the UMn Architecture Library.

Sanaz Mazinani, MFA Art Practice, 2011
Sanaz Mazinani recently opened her solo exhibition "Frames of the Visible" at Taymour Grahne Gallery in New York. In September, she unveils a temporary public art project for the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and installs a 100 foot site-specific mural in Facebook’s New York headquarters. This fall, Mazinani’s works will be on view in group exhibitions in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Calgary, Canada. In 2013, Mazinani received the Kala Art Institute Fellowship, and was awarded grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, and San Francisco Arts Commission.

Deborah Holly Hartel Robinson, BA Art History and Art Practice, 1969
Deborah is still drawing and painting, mostly just for friends and occasionally I am asked to do the illustrations for Home Tour catalogues. She takes art photos and has a line of greeting cards, as well as handbags which she sells at her etsy shop, QueenBeeEssentials . Deborah teaches 8th grade Language Arts and has written 3 books (2 more currently in progress). She plans to retire with her husband in the next 3 years to go on missions for their church. Her oldest son, Alex, is working on a book, and youngest son, Spencer, is an accomplished musician.

Lordy Rodriguez, MFA Art Practice, 2008
Lordy accepted a tenure track position at San Jose State University to teach Arts Entrepreneurship. He was recently added on the Board of Directors for Proarts, a non-profit alternative space in Oakland. His last solo show was at Hosfelt Gallery in San Francisco entitled "Code Switch," and he completed a poster series for the San Francisco Arts Commission for their Art on Market Bus Kiosk public art program titled "Strangerhood." In 2013 he was part of group exhibits: "Contemporary Cartographies," Lehman College Art Gallery, Bronx, NY, and "Mapping the Terrain," The Mills Building, San Francisco, CA.

John Seed, BA Art History, 1979
John's essay "Setting the Stage for Insight: Nathan Oliveira's Road to Stanford" will appear in the new book "A Family Affair: Modern and Contemporary American Art from the Anderson Collection at Stanford University." He is continuing to write about art and artists for both the HuffingtonPost and Hyperalleric.com and entering his 28th year as a Professor of Art and Art History at Mount San Jacinto College.

Mina T. Son, MFA Documentary Film and Video, 2011
Mina is currently in Japan for three months working on a documentary film about the rebuilding efforts of a rural seaside town devastated by the 2011 tsunami. She received funding from the Independent Television Service Diversity Development Fund and the U.S. Japan Friendship Commission.

Kimetha Vanderveen, BA Art Practice, 1991
Kimetha is a visual artist based in San Francisco, California. She has been awarded artist residencies by the Cité International des Arts in Paris, and the MacDowell Colony, most recently in 2012 and 2011, respectively. Her drawings are in the permanent collection of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and her paintings will be in exhibition February-April 2015, at Peter Mendenhall Gallery in Los Angeles, California.

Susan Sampsell Weller, BA Art History, 1966
Last October Susan exhibited her paintings in a two-person show, “Dialogo tra Pittura e Scultura,” at Incorniciarte, Verona, Italy. Susan keeps a studio in a 12th century palazzo in Verona where she spends half the year; the other half she works in her Laguna Beach studio.
