Coronary Cusp

65 year old male with a family history of sudden cardiac death of a first degree relative and malignant coronary anomaly in a first degree relative. CT scan with IV contrast shows an aberrant, benign left circumflex coronary artery (labeled LCX) arising from the right coronary cusp instead of the left coronary cusp and coursing behind the heart. These 3D volume rendered models produced by one of our technologists clearly demonstrates these vascular abnormalities for the patient and his doctors. Producing these images requires advanced software and our lab’s skilled technologists.
