5 month old with a congenital aorta abnormality, a double aortic arch. The right arch is larger than the left, measuring 6.5 mm, compared to the left, which measures 2.5 mm at it’s narrowest. The vessels which feed the right side of the body arise from the right arch, and those which feed the left side arise from the left arch. The trachea is located between the two arches, which causes mild narrowing of the patient’s airway. These 3D volume rendered models and diameters produced by one of our technologists clearly demonstrates these vascular abnormalities for the patient and his doctors. Production of the images and video below requires advanced software and our lab’s skilled technologists.
