Slide146 year old with history of left orbital mass. CT volume rendered images (A and B), and MRA volume rendered images (C and D) show a slightly hyperdense circumscribed mass causing mass effect on the optic nerve and globe with proptosis. There is an asymmetrically large left ophthalmic artery which leads to the mass. Venous drainage for this area is through a left periorbital/facial vein which subsequently drains into the left external jugular vein. Possible thrombosed orbital varix secondary to AVM/AVF. Producing these images requires advanced software and skilled technologists available in our lab.
