76 year old male presents with a + FOBT(fecal occult blood test) and LLQ dull, mild abdominal pain. This patient preferred a less invasive screening method and therefore was referred to Stanford to perform CT Colonography. After the CT scan is acquired the 3D Technologist generates 3d Virtual Colonoscopy movies through the patient’s colon in multiple planes on specialized software. Two polyps were found in this patient’s sigmoid colon. The image above represents the larger of the two lesions. Stanford 3DQ Lab technologists generate these images utilizing specialized 3D software tools.
