FAQ: What was migrated
FAQ Categories
Mail messages
All of your mail messages were migrated, with two exceptions: (1) messages larger than 25MB, (2) messages contained a .exe or zip file attachment. Read below if you can't find specific mail and don't think it had either of these characteristics. You may find that mail deleted in the previous email system has reappeared. If you deleted any messages after August 21, they likely reappeared in your Google mailbox with whatever label (folder) they were in.

To view your aliases, click on the "gear" in the upper right hand corner of your Alumni Email, select Email Settings and select the "Accounts" tab. If you would like to create a new alias, go to the Alumni Email tab in your Profile on the Stanford Alumni website.

Folder storage filters, which you may have set up to direct incoming mail into specific folders, were migrated, with the exception of those filters that Google does not allow (1) filters based on the priority level of a message, (2)filters based on time received, (3) filters based on message size, (4) filters with more than one rule (e.g. filter based on email address AND subject line). One signature
Google only allows one signature. If you had multiple signatures in the previous system, we migrated the one marked "Default." If no default signatures were marked, we did not migrate any signatures (the migration tool wasn't able to decide which was the 'right' one to migrate). Learn more about signatures
