Anthony is a specialist General Surgeon at the National University Health System (NUHS), with interest in Breast Cancer, and Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Anthony?s academic credentials are impeccable, being on scholarships throughout his entire academic life, since the age of 12. He was awarded the ASEAN scholarship for the duration of his high school education in Singapore, and then the prestigious Commonwealth Government Scholarship for Medicine during his undergraduate years in Melbourne, Australia. He recently completed his postgraduate surgical training, gaining a joint specialist fellowship with the Singapore and United Kingdom(Edinburgh) boards. He also attained 2 postgraduate Masters degrees, in Medicine(Surgery) and a Masters in Clinical Epidemiology.

A published author in numerous journals, Anthony is also a frequent speaker in many local and international conferences. As an active advocate for breast cancer screening, he often organizes public symposiums in Singapore. He is currently in charge of the Sentinel Lymph Node program in NUHS, and is involved in many ongoing local and international Breast Cancer research projects. A lecturer at the National University of Singapore, he is also active in undergraduate and postgraduate training.

Anthony is passionately involved in surgical outreach programs to the underprivileged parts of Asia. He is currently spearheading the formation of a medical volunteer and charity organization within NUHS. In his spare time, Anthony is an avid scuba diver and skier, and has recently become hooked on golf. He is also trying to run his first marathon by the end of 2010.

For the inaugural SSB program to start in 2011, Anthony is proudly one of the 2 surgeons awarded the highly competitive scholarship.
