STANFORD UNIVERSITY ID CARDS:

Eligibility for an SUID is governed by Administrative Guide Memo 2.4.3. Eligible individuals may obtain an SUID card from the appropriate card issuing office:

For eligible students:

ID cards may be obtained at the Student Services Center

For eligible faculty, staff, spouses/domestic partners and academic visitors:

ID cards may be obtained at the Stanford Card Office

If you have forgotten your ID, the front desk staff will use a 3-strikes system to check you in. Each quarter, a patron may enter the facility up to 3 times without an ID; they will receive a “strike,” and after 3 strikes, they will no longer be let into the building without their Stanford ID.

GUEST PASSES:

Attention: New Guest Pass Policy; Effective as of August 1st, 2015
Due to security issues revolving around our Guest Passes, Stanford Recreation will start requiring patrons, over the age of 18, using Guest Passes to carry a government issued photo ID card at all times while using the recreation facilities. When entering a recreational facility, Guest Pass users will present their ID to the attendant along with their Guest Pass. The attendant will write the patrons name on the front of the pass along with punching the month and day of use. If a patron visits more than one recreation facility on the same day they will still need to present their government issued photo ID along with their day pass at the time of entry to each facility. This policy will take effect on August 1st, 2015. Leading up to that time recreational facility attendants will urge patrons to start carrying an ID to help get everyone used to the policy. All Guest Pass users under 18 will have their name written on the pass but will not need to carry an ID card.

If there are any questions regarding the new policy please speak with the recreation facility management:

Guest passes can be purchased by patrons with a valid SUID and are good for single-day facility access. Please note that all guest pass sales are final. By purchasing a Guest Pass, you are aware and agree to the terms and agreement in the Guest Pass Waiver.

Any misuse of a guest pass, including alteration, duplication or transfer, is subject to disciplinary action. Persons caught misusing their pass or accessing the facility without a valid pass will be subject to immediate removal from the facility; in addition, future access may be restricted.
