Interests
I am working towards developing systems that allow citizen scientists and students to interactively run real biology experiments over the Internet - the main challenge here is to design and implement protocols that allows high-throughput biology equipments to be shared across many users seamlessly and concurrently. We call such a system "Cloud Experimentation," and this naturally draws on many diverse areas of engineering. For this work I am lucky to be supported by the BioX SIGF (Stanford Interdisciplinary Graduate Fellowship) and MPC-VCC scholarship (Max Planck Center of Visual Computing and Communications).Lately I am also working on simulations of micro-swimmers at low reynold number environment, which combines my interest in computer graphics and visualization with biology. In Computer Graphics, I worked with rendering, level-set based PDE and reconstruction of derivatives on non-standard lattices.
