Scanford is a 4-laser instrument: violet 405 nm laser,  red 640 nm laser, green 561 nm laser, and blue 488 nm laser. This will allows the use of up to 12 colors at once, including green excited fluorochromes such as mCherry or TexRed, and violet excited live/dead Aqua. Scanford is cheaper to use than the LSR IIs, and is generally more available. Contact the Facility if you would like to discuss whether you can move your work from the LSR IIs to Scanford.
