2nd Annual Global Health Research Convening

The 2nd Annual Global Health Research Convening will be held January 20, 2016 at the Bechtel Conference Center. The Convening aims to build community among researchers across schools, institutes and departments at Stanford who are working in the field of global health, foster collaboration and connect students to researchers and mentors.

Abstracts will be selected for posters and verbal presentations. Please submit an abstract listing the title, co-authors, their affiliations and a summary of your work. Limit the body of the abstract to 250 words. Submit all abstracts to Jill Mueller at sjillmueller@stanford.edu by Monday, November 16, 2015.

Liver Cancer Workshop 2015

Join us Nov. 12, 2015 for a Liver Cancer Workshop featuring guest speakers and a panel discussion centered on the theme, "Epidemiology and Prevention of Liver Cancer: Global Perspectives and Application to the Bay Area for Cancer Control and Prevention." The event is hosted by the Stanford Cancer Institute, Liver Cancer Working Group and Center for Innovation in Global Health, and will be held from 12-4pm at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. ASTMH 64th Annual Meeting

Stanford CIGH is on the scene at the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) 64th Annual Meeting taking place this week in Philadelphia. The premier forum for the exchange of scientific advances in tropical medicine and global health, this year's ASTMH conference brings together nearly 4,200 attendees from over 75 countries dedicated to reducing the burden of tropical infectious diseases and improving health for all. CIGH will host Dr. Chris Elias, president of global development at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, for the next Conversation in Global Health seminar.
