Really bad layout
With every new iteration of this app there's a chorus of dissenters. I'm now joining that chorus.
There's way too much lag time to get from one section to another. For instance: if you go from "News" to "Education" you must must hit the little H in the top left corner and scroll left or right. And scroll. And scroll. The UI is incredibly slow to load.
I can't complain about the content but the means of getting it to the public doesn't appear to ever be thought out very thoroughly. Has anyone ever asked "What was wrong with the previous app? You know, the one that everyone knows how to navigate. The one that didn't have crash issues upon start up?"
It think you're now just overhauling the UI just to overhaul the UI with no real reason behind it. The previous app was working fine. This version not so much.
So I ask that in the future when whomever is in charge of app changes decides that the public needs a radically different look to this app, that person is asked one simply question: "Why?"

I think you people have totally forgotten about us iphone users and are focused on the ipad....FIX THE PUSH NOTIFICATIONS FOR US MOBILE USERS, you guys use to put CNN, NBC NEWS to shame with reporting breaking news first, now you dont do anything but add BS and update things that really aren't important, getting the news to your mobile users and alerting us to whats happening should be first.
Used to be very good, now it is very bad
Such a shame when an app is updated to the point that it is no longer recognizable. I used to love the HuffingtonPost. I could count on good reliable current news. Now I have to search for the news in between all of the gossip, sensationalism, videos, advertisements, so many obstacles. This is no longer a news app. This has now become a confusing mess.
