CURRENT STATUS

There is currently no disaster information to post on this website.
If you are seeking information on an emergency or disaster in the Bay Area, call your manager for instructions or try the Disaster Hotlines. SHC: 650-498-8888, LPCH: 650-497-8888.

Why are your Department Disaster Plans Improtant?
When a real disaster happens - and it will - you will respond. Even if you freeze and do nothing - that is a response. Immediately knowing exactly what to do is the ideal response. It starts with a good department plan describing roles and is supplemented by training.

Joint Commission requires staff to know thier role in a disaster.
Managers must train their staff on wheat their roles will be during a disaster. A brief overview of staff roles can be found on the code safety badges worn on every employee's hospital ID. If any unit/department would like in person training, OEM is happy to attend a huddle.
