Valley Children's Pediatric Residency Program
Thank you for your interest in the Valley Children’s Pediatric Residency Program, Affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine. Our innovative, interprofessional program provides a comprehensive education that includes both general and advanced clinical pediatric training.
Throughout training, you will gain important clinical experience in a hands-on environment. Residents rotate through our main teaching hospital – the 358-bed, state-of-the-art Valley Children’s Hospital – and the internationally renowned Lucile Salter Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. Both facilities have a large multicultural patient population.
At Valley Children’s Hospital, you will learn and practice in one of the nation's largest children’s hospitals. It boasts the Central Valley's only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and offers specialized medical and surgical services to treat conditions ranging from common to the most unusual and complex. Valley Children’s Hospital is also designated as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, the only Pediatric Trauma Center in Central California.
As you consider residency programs, we encourage you to evaluate Valley Children's based on your goals, individual needs and values.
