Human embryonic stem cells derived from excess IVF embryos may help scientists unlock the mysteries of infertility for other couples struggling to conceive, according to research from School of Medicine researchers, including Renee Reijo Pera. They devised a way to efficiently coax the cells to become human germ cells in the lab.

"Sneak Peek Tuesdays" gives students and staff a first look at the items in stock each week. Bring a Stanford ID and receive a 10 percent discount on purchases made on Tuesdays, when the store is open from noon to 4 p.m. The store is open to the public on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon.
- Olmsted Terrace Interest List available today: Eligible faculty and staff are invited to complete the online "Interest List" submission form beginning today at 8 a.m. Olmsted Terrace is the new neighborhood rising on the east side of campus along Stanford Avenue.
