International Travel Assistance Program Portal Launch

Dear Postdoctoral Scholars,

Stanford University is enhancing its support services related to global activities and we are launching a new International Travel Assistance Program website (https://internationaltravel.stanford.edu).

Through our participating vendors, the new site is designed to provide improved medical, personal, travel and security assistance services to faculty, staff, postdocs and students, as well as spouses, domestic partners and dependents, who are traveling abroad on Stanford University business or research and/or participating in Stanford University programs.

Please take a moment to check out the new site. You can also see a summary of the International Travel Assistance Program below. If you have questions about the program, please contact Yolanda Bystron, Risk Management, at bystron@stanford.edu.

Summary of Program:

Stanford’s International Travel Assistance Program has resources on call, online and on the ground to help with medical, security and logistical situations that may arise when you travel internationally or live abroad, including pre-travel advice, medical referrals, lost medication, and assistance during medical or security crises. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, a phone call connects you to an international network for help and assistance in any emergency whenever and wherever you need it.

The program also provides online tools and services that benefit YOU, including:

Information Services
• Available for either business or leisure related travel • Receive recommendations for vaccinations and reminder alerts when follow-up boosters are required • Access country-specific information on disease prevention, hospital locations, translation services, and referrals to English-speaking doctors • Get medical and security travel alerts, global security reports and risk ratings by country sent by email

Medical Assistance Services
