2014 Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) Symposium
A Symposium focusing on practical aspects of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) will be held on Sept. 12-13, 2014. This symposium will cover various issues related to clinical implementation of SBRT (e.g, SBRT of spine, lung, liver, pancreas, prostate) and update the attendees with latest technical advancements in image guidance, immobilization, gating, quality assurance and high dose-rate delivery techniques. The lectures will be given by a panel of experienced radiation oncologists and medical physicists from Stanford University Hospital and other institutions. Demonstration of various image guidance and stereotactic treatment techniques on different SBRT platforms, such as Varian TrueBeam and CyberKnife, will also be offered at the second afternoon of the symposium. Stay tuned.
